<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the laser diode from breaking by static discharges. <P>SOLUTION: The optical pickup has a base and at least a laser diode attached on the outer wall of the base. The laser diode has its base and an LD terminal and a GND terminal extending to the back of its base. The short land flexible printed circuit board (105) has conductor patterns (105-6, 105-7, 105-8) which can short-circuit the LD terminal and the GND terminal of the laser diode with solder (109) at a position apart from the LD terminal. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
