<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a large-capacity secondary battery having a relatively simple structure, capable of suppressing deterioration to exert a stable cycle characteristic, and of continuous discharge. <P>SOLUTION: This large-capacity secondary battery includes: a first cell 2 having a first positive electrode 21, a first negative electrode 22 and a first electrolyte 23, and structured to discharge by generating metal oxide or metal peroxide in the first positive electrode 21 and to charge by decomposing the metal oxide or the metal peroxide; a second cell 3 having a second positive electrode 31, a second negative electrode 32 and a second electrolyte 33, and structured to discharge by generating metal oxide or metal peroxide in the second positive electrode 31 and to charge by decomposing the metal oxide or the metal peroxide; and an oxygen permeation part 4 passing oxygen gas between the first positive electrode 21 and the second positive electrode 31; and is structured to be able to supply, to the oxygen permeation part 4, the oxygen gas used in discharging the other side of the first cell 2 and the second cell 3 by charging one side of them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
