摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescence detector which always irradiates a flow channel with exciting light without omission in the case where the positions of a plate and an optical part are shifted and always realizes the detection of fluorescence with stable detection sensitivity, and to provide a fluorescence detection method. SOLUTION: The cross-sectional shape of the flow channel 301 of the plate is formed into a trapezoidal shape which keeps the surface width of the plate of the flow channel 301 longer than the bottom surface width of the flow channel 301 and gets the exciting light 307 reflected from the side surface of the flow channel 301 detected by the first and second light detection parts 311 and 312 of a first light detection block 304 and the third and fourth light detection parts 313 and 314 of a second light detection block 305. The positional shift direction of the flow channel 301 of the plate and the optical part 310 is estimated, and the optical part 310 is relatively drive with respect to the plate 302 on the basis of this estimated value.
