PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging apparatus with which it is possible to reduce a burden on an operation at the time of setting of an area of interest to which RF shimming processing is to be applied.SOLUTION: A region, in which a test body is positioned, in an imaging space is detected. Based on the test body positioned region, a phase and an amplitude of a high frequency pulse supplied from each channel of a transmission coil, which has a plurality of channels, are calculated so that ununiformity of transmission sensitivity distribution of the transmission coil is reduced. Using the calculated phase and amplitude of the high frequency pulse of each channel, a high frequency magnetic field is applied to the test body. |
