PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sizing agent for fiber excellent in storage stability and containing an acrylic polymer and polyvinyl alcohol, a manufacturing method of the sizing agent for fiber, a sized yarn obtained by sizing the sizing agent for fiber and a manufacturing method of textile conducted by using the sizing agent for fiber.SOLUTION: There is provided a sizing agent for fiber containing (A) a neutralized article of a copolymer obtained by copolymerizing polymerizable components containing (meth)acrylic acid, a (meth)acrylic acid ester-based monomer and a nitrile-based monomer and a basic compound and (B) polyvinyl alcohol with saponification degree of 70 to 90 mol%, where weight percentage of the (meth)acrylic acid is 5 to 30 wt.% and weight percentage of the nitrile-based monomer is 0.1 to 20 wt.% based on the polymerizable component and the basic compound essentially contains an amine compound having the boiling point of 101 to 400°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
