PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a characterization method for sheet glass.SOLUTION: A device for characterization of sheet glass 28 when the sheet glass 28 moves through the device comprises: an air bearing 44 containing an internal porous material portion of an annular shape, and an external porous material portion arranged around said internal porous material portion, that is, an air bearing 44, in which said internal porous material portion defines a center passage extending through the thickness entirety of the air bearing 44; a plurality of stabilization air knives 52a and 52b arranged on the upstream side of the air bearing 44 with reference to the moving direction 50 of the sheet glass 28; and a measurement device arranged with said center passage of the air bearing 44, that is, a measurement device for measuring at least one of the characteristics of the sheet glass 28.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
