PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separation mechanism that is improved in reliability of separating thin mails where a variety of thin mails are mixed and can inhibit a decline in processing efficiency.SOLUTION: The separation mechanism includes: separation means that receives thin mails and transports the thin mails by separating one by one; and multistage separation means provided in a transportation passage.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
