PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator device and a controller therefor, which are capable of accurately detecting brake abnormality at an early stage.SOLUTION: An elevator device 1 comprises a controller 60 for controlling operation of a transfer device 10. The controller 60 comprises an input section and a control section. The input section acquires deviation information which is information related to a deviation between a car position being a floor 24 position of a car 20 when the car 20 is braked at an embarking/disembarking place 100, and a floor 120 position of the embarking/disembarking place 100. The control section determines that abnormality has occurred in an electromagnetic brake 40 for braking the car 20, on the basis of the deviation information when no passengers are embarked in the car 20, and then stops operation of the elevator device 1 on the basis of the determination that abnormality has occurred in the electromagnetic brake 40.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
