The invention relates to a protective cover for enclosing a seat of a potential explosion, for containment of contamination by at least one noxious substance released in the potential explosion, with a shell which at least partially surrounds the seat of the potential explosion and which defines a containment space in the area of the seat of the potential explosion. The object of the invention is to make available a protective cover with which the aforementioned requirements can be met. According to the invention, the object is achieved by the fact that the shell is made at least partially from a flexible material, the shell has a wall that is designed at least in one section as an at least double wall, such that the wall has at least one chamber in this section, the chamber can be filled in order to produce the containment space, and at least one opening is provided in the shell for filling the containment space with a contamination containment means. |
