PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage type combustion deodorizer and its operation method in which processed gas containing VOC of high concentration and a minute amount of oxygen or processed gas composed of VOC of high concentration not containing oxygen at all can be oxidized, decomposed and completely purified.SOLUTION: A heat storage type combustion deodorizer 1 comprises an oximeter 40 arranged at a processed gas discharging pipe 8 to measure concentration of residual oxygen in the processed gas; air feeding nozzles 42A to 42C for supplying auxiliary air (oxidizing gas) required by VOC for oxidization decomposition reaction into a combustion chamber 3; and a control part 44 for controlling supply of auxiliary air through the air feeding nozzles 42A to 42C so as to cause a concentration of residual oxygen to be set in a range of control standard on the basis of a result of comparison between a concentration of residual oxygen in the processed gas measured by the oximeter 40 and a predetermined control standard. With this arrangement as above, it is possible to perform a complete purification of the processed gas containing VOC of high concentration.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
