Extendible table of two parts as tops and frames

Two extendible table parts (5,6) of table top (1,2) and frame (3,4) are allocated respective lengthways frames with legs (9 and 10) at either end plus a crossways frame also legged at both ends facing away from the lengthways frames. The table extender mechanism uses devices which run parallel to the lengthways frames and are joined at a first end to the lengthways frame and/or table top and at their far ends are joined to the other table part (6,5). In the basic table setting, the lengthways frame legs lie side by side as against the table extended in which the legs move apart though the table top plates (1,2) remain interconnected by means of an intermediate plate. Thus the first leg (9) of the one lengthways frame lies to the side of the second leg of the other lengthways frame and thus forms a centre pair of legs. When extended, the first leg (9) of the lengthways frame of the first table part (5) lies precisely adjacent to the second leg of the frame of the other table part (6). It is possible to have two intermediate plates in the extended setting so the legs (9) of the centre leg pair lie at points below the line connecting the two plates.
