LCD MODULE USING FPC

PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid crystal display) module is provided to allow the module to be slim and lightweight. CONSTITUTION: A source drive portion(printed circuit board)(30) facing either of the neighboring edges in a lower portion of an LCD panel(10) is connected to a lower panel(14) by a TCP(Tape carrier package)(50) on which a source driving IC(integrated circuit)(52) is mounted. A gate drive portion facing another edge is connected to the lower portion of the LCD panel by a TCP(40) on which a gate driving IC(42) is mounted and is electrically connected to the source drive PCB. One of the source or gate drive portion is made up of FPC(Flexible printed circuit) while the other is made of PCB(Printed circuit board). Thereby, the present invention reduces an overall weight of the LCD module, simplifies manufacturing processes, reduces manufacturing costs, and prevent occurrence of any misalign or a distortion of TCP.
