<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pigment-coated paper for gloss ink-based printing, excellent in offset printing suitability, also having printing suitability with a high speed ink jet printer using a water-based pigment ink, and suitable for hybrid printing. <P>SOLUTION: The pigment-coated paper for printing, in which at least one pigment-coated layer is disposed on at least one side of base paper is characterized in that the most surface layer of the pigment-coated layer is a layer obtained by coating a dried coating layer comprising 100 pts.mass of a pigment, ≥50 pts.mass of light calcium carbonate having an average particle diameter (short diameter) of ≤0.8 μm, and a latex binder and casein as a binder, with the aqueous solution of a water-soluble polybasic metal salt, and then drying the coated layer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
