PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out high-quality printing in the case of printing of forming dots on a printing medium while main scanning is carried out in two directions. SOLUTION: Main scanning is carried out in two directions. Dots are recorded preferentially at a forward way of the main scanning for dots of a certain ink. In consequence, when a recording density of dots of the ink is not larger than 50%, dots of the ink are recorded only at the forward way of the main scanning. In an example of the drawing, main scanning lines of odd number rows where dots of the ink are recorded at the forward way of the main scanning are preferentially recorded with the dots. The possibility of generation of a dot formation position deviation to be caused by bidirectional printing is reduced by this printing, and therefore the quality of printing results can be enhanced.
