PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper position adjusting device which is easily mounted on a damper shaft regardless of a position of a key groove of the damper shaft and the rotating direction in opening a damper. SOLUTION: The device is applied to various existing boilers and is connected with the damper shaft 9 of the damper 8 mounted on a duct 5 for adjusting a rotation stopping position of the damper 8. A coupling 33 is connected with the damper shaft 9. A detected plate 63 can be attached to the coupling 33 from both of front and rear directions. Detected areas 65, 66 are formed on an outer peripheral portion of the detected plate 63 at positions symmetrical at a point. A number of slits 71 are formed on the detected areas 65, 66 at equal intervals in the circumferential direction. Each slit 71 can be detected by a detector 64. The damper 8 fully closes the duct 5 in the position where the slit 77 at one end portion in the circumferential direction of any of the detected areas 65 is corresponding to the detector 64.
