PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent insufficient lubrication of an inner diameter side caused by uneven existence of grease due to centrifugal force. SOLUTION: In a one-way clutch comprising a plurality of sprags 3 arranged between an inner and an outer ring 2, 1, a retainer 4 retaining each sprag 3 in a circumference direction, and an elastic member 6 energizing each sprag 3 in an engagement direction, and having a contact part of each sprag 3, the inner and the outer rings 2, 1 lubricated by grease, the retainer 4 has a cylindrical shape and has a pocket part 4a for storing the sprag 3 formed along the circumference direction, a space functioning as grease pocket is provided between the retainer 4 and the outer ring 1, and an oil hole 10 passing through the retainer and facing the grease pocket is provided on the retainer 4. Since the oil hole 10 opens to a rotation direction front part of the retainer 4 and the opening thereof faces the grease pocket, grease residing in the grease pocket can easily enter the oil hole 10 by rotation in the circumference direction of the retainer. Consequently, grease in an outer diameter side is smoothly returned to an inner diameter side to prevent insufficient lubrication of the inner diameter side. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
