PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip to be mounted on a plate with easy work for holding a plate with sufficiently strong force. SOLUTION: A rectangular mounting hole 32 of the plate 30 consists of long sides (a) and short sides (b). By inserting an anchor 14 of a clip body 10 into the mounting hole, the clip body is mounted on the plate. The anchor 14 of the clip body 10 has a rectangular lock portion 20 consisting of long sides A and short sides B to be insertable through the mounting hole 32, a pair of engaging portions 24 having elastically deflecting motion, and a pair of rotation preventing pieces 28. Both engaging portions 24 engage with the edges of both long sides (a) of the mounting hole, respectively, by inserting the anchor 14 into the mounting hole 32, the lock portion 20 is locked to the inside of the plate 30 by rotating the clip body 10 around its axis in this state, and both rotation preventing pieces 28 are located in the mounting hole 32.
