PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shaft supporting structure for a door made of stone capable of permitting easily and accurately arranging and fixing its axis of rotation located with respect to a door substratum or door body; of restricting the door body from being sloped due to a secular change of its shaft supporting portion and of maintaining opening and closing operations; and of maintaining smooth rotation and smooth opening and closing operation of the door made of stone. SOLUTION: This shaft supporting structure for the door body is for opening and closing the door by using the axis of rotation retained vertically on the surface of substratum; the axis of rotation comprises an axial columnar body extended to a top surface of a door sill penetrated through the door substratum, and a bearing arranged at one right or left end of the door body. And the axial columnar body is equipped with a flange keeping in contact with a bottom face of the door sill and is then formed vertically from the flange. This flange is deviated in a drooping direction of a center of gravity of a closed door body and then extended. Also, its bearing has a flange in contact with a bottom end face of the door body at one end and forms a cylindrical shape erected vertically from the flange.
