PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a coated paper having high printing quality and glossiness of white paper and low density. SOLUTION: In the method for producing a coated paper for printing including applying a coating liquid containing a pigment and an adhesive to a base paper, kaolin having an average particle diameter of≥0.8μm, measured by a laser method is included in an amount of≥20 pts.wt., based on 100 pts.wt. pigment in the coating liquid and the coating liquid is applied to the base paper at a coating speed of≥1,000 m/min by a spray coating system.
