PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foaming composition for an adhesive containing surface-modified nanoparticles. SOLUTION: The adhesive foaming composition contains pores retained in the composition for a period of at least 1 minute after the foaming composition is formed, and contains a foaming vehicle containing a monomer, an oligomer, a polymer or a combination of them and the surface modificating nanoparticles, and each particle of the particles has a particle diameter below 100 nm, and the particles are present in the range of a ratio of 0.1 to 70 wt.%.
