PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detergent having excellent high foamability, rapidly foaming properties (speed of foaming), retentivity of foam (foam retention), creaminess of foam and temporal stability. SOLUTION: The detergent contains (a) 0.1-30 mass% of a specific polyalkyl glucoside derivative [e. g. poly(sodium laurylglucosidohydroxypropylsulfonate) and poly(sodium laurylglucosidohydroxypropylphosphate)] and (b) 0.1-30 mass%, preferably≥1 mass% of a specified hydroxyalkyl ether carboxylate.
