OPTICAL INFORMATION RECORDING MEDIUM, INFORMATION RECORDING METHOD, AND COMPOUND USING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording method capable of efficiently recording by an optical information recording medium having a superior recording characteristic and short wave laser beam irradiation, in information recording by the short wave laser beam irradiation.

SOLUTION: The optical information recording medium comprises a recording layer containing a dye on a support. The recording layer contains a compound comprising a substituent group having a property of producing a gas by thermal decomposition. The method for recording information on the recording layer is attained by irradiation of a laser beam onto the optical information recording medium. The method is carried out by using a compound comprising a substituent group having a property of producing a gas by thermal decomposition as an additive in a solution containing a dye.
