A light bar (10) and backlight module applying the light bar. The light bar (10) comprises a substrate (11) and a plurality of rows of light emitting parts (12) disposed in parallel on the substrate (11), and each two adjacent rows of light emitting parts (121, 122) has adjacent ends (12a, 12b) inclined towards an interior direction of the substrate (11) so as to form an included angle between the two adjacent rows of light emitting parts (121, 122), thereby obtaining convergence of emergent light from the two adjacent rows of light emitting parts (121, 122). The backlight module assembled using the light bar (10) enables emergent lights of an LED lamp (124) to converge and then enter a light guide plate (20) through a quantum tube (50), thus improving a light coupling efficiency of the backlight module. The present invention reduces the thickness of the light guide plate (20) while ensuring the high color and high saturation of the backlight module, reducing the production cost, and meeting requirements for developing thinner and lighter liquid crystal displays. |
