PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical scanner comprising: a light source 33 that emits a light beam; a deflection part 34 that deflects the light beam emitted from the light source 33 to perform scanning in a main scanning direction; an imaging lens 35 that forms the light beam deflected for scanning by the deflection part 34 into an image on a scanning target surface at a uniform velocity; a temperature sensor 101 that detects the temperature of the imaging lens 35; and a correction part 100 that corrects shift in position in the main scanning direction of the light beam on the scanning target surface on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor 101; and to make it possible to accurately correct the shift in position in the main scanning direction of the light beam with an inexpensive configuration irrespective of whether the optical scanner is in a temperature increase phase or a temperature decrease phase.SOLUTION: An optical scanner comprises a resin part 50 that has substantially the same specific heat and thermal conductivity as those of an imaging lens 35, and a temperature sensor 101 that is embedded inside the resin part 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
