PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile communication unit that receives incoming signals coming from both a near place and a remote place so as to extend a speech available area without increasing a load of a base station. SOLUTION: The mobile communication unit making communication with other communication unit via a base station is provided with a transmission command section 21 that gives a transmission command to the base station in predetermined transmission timing, a count section that counts number of symbols from a head of a received signal just before the transmission commanded by the transmission command section 21 until the start of transmission, a transmission timing adjustment section 290 that interleaves a prescribed number of symbols among the symbols counted by the count section and an operation section 12 that operates the transmission timing adjustment section 20 according to the distance between the base station and the mobile communication unit. The prescribed number of symbols is about 259 symbols and number of interleaved symbols is preferably within 6 symbols.
