PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reproducing device that can easily reproduce an imbedded image from a composite image with a simple means without the need for a complicated signal processing and precise positioning. SOLUTION: A composite image 11 lighted by a single color light of a lighting light 30 is observed as a contrast image with a wavelength component of the single color light. A 1st convex lens 21 placed at a focal distance f1 from the image 11 projects the contrast image to a position apart by the focal distance f1 from the lens 21 as Fourier-transformed spatial frequency image. An optical filter member 12 with a light transmittance distribution placed at the position applies spatial frequency filtering to the spatial frequency image. A 2nd convex lens 22 placed at a position apart from the member 12 by a focal distance f2 forms an image Fourier-transformed again on an image observation section 13 placed at a focal distance f2 from the 2nd convex lens 22.
