PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective device A in a wiring system W to an electric load 1 of a vehicle for fully keeping safety and reliability, when an abnormal current is carried and an electric current is intercepted before a damage is caused in the wiring system W, and realizing easy maintenance of the protective device A and reducing increase in cost. SOLUTION: An auto fuse 4 is provided to cut off by melting before causing damage in a wiring 3, when an abnormal large current is carried on the way of the wiring 3. A PTC element 5 is provided in series with the auto fuse 4 in the wiring 3. When the anomalous current flows and resistance increases rapidly, the PTC element 5 is made to have characteristics which suppress the electric current, prior to the fusing of the auto fuse 4 at the latest.
