PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of using an alloy thermal fuse which shuts down a current conduction without fail at a predetermined operation temperature of the thermal fuse even in a semi-abnormal condition where heat generation occurs close to the predetermined operation temperature but not exceeding the same and a flux of the thermal fuse is deteriorated and becomes unable to serve as a fuse. SOLUTION: By heating at a temperature higher than a room temperature but lower than a thermal fuse operation temperature Ts for a predetermined cumulative time duration, a fuse element part 2 neighboring a lead conductor 1 is deteriorated under an inter-metal chemical combination reaction with copper of the lead conductor and is made to have a higher fusing point than an unreacted part of the fuse element and is made fragile as well, and after the above cumulative time duration is over, a current conduction is shut down by a thermal stress fracture of the above deteriorated fuse element part.
