PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent device and an electronic equipment having a light-shielding wall which can be easily formed high and capable of inhibiting color mixture by dint of a light-shielding effect of the light-shielding wall. SOLUTION: The organic EL device 1 is made up by bonding an element substrate having light-emitting elements 70 arranged in correspondence with pixels 40 and a sealing substrate having red, green, and blue color elements 34R, 34G, 34B arranged in correspondence with the pixels 40 through an adhesive 28. In an area 41 between each two pixels, a light-shielding wall 33 is formed made of a color element 34 and a light-shielding member 32. The light-shielding wall 33 has a constant height T from the surface of the color element 34. For that reason, the light-shielding wall 33 can shield light incident on a color element 34 of a pixel 40 out of light irradiated from a light-emitting element of an adjacent pixel 40.
