The lithium-ion secondary battery negative electrode material manufacturing method comprises: a step of heating a raw composition containing resin-residual partially-peeled flaked graphite and Si grains and doping the Si grains into the partially-peeled flaked graphite, said resin-residual partially-peeled flaked graphite being obtained in such a way that resin in a composition in which the resin is fixed to graphite or primary flaked graphite is pyrolyzed and the graphite or the primary flaked graphite is peeled while the resin is allowed to partially remain and having a structure in which graphenes are partially peeled; a step of preparing a composition containing the partially-peeled flaked graphite into which the Si grains are doped, a binder resin, and a solvent; and a step of forming the composition.
