PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk accessing device which takes the necessary minimum time for movement between zones while avoiding rushing into a zone boundary track. SOLUTION: The disk accessing device performs recording/reproduction of a disk on which a data is recorded in ZCLV format, comprises a head for writing or reading the data to/from the disk 300, calculates a delay time which is a period from when writing or reading of the data to a user area in a zone being accessed at present is completed until the head enters a predetermined area of a guard track zone, and a setting time which is a setting period for writing or reading the data to the zone to be accessed next, and, when the delay time is shorter than the setting time, controls the head to retreat up to the position which does not reach a specific area even if the head moves for the set time when writing or reading of the data to/from the zone being accessed is completed.
