PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk drive wherein costs can be reduced concerning a structure of rotatably supporting a traverse chassis to a main chassis. SOLUTION: At the rear end of the traverse chassis 2, first protrusions 21 are formed projecting backward at two places in the right and left direction. At the main chassis 1, first housing recess parts 11 are formed opening forward respectively at positions corresponding to the respective first protrusions 21. The respective first protrusions 21 are covered respectively with first buffering members 31, and the respective first buffering members 31 are inserted and fitted respectively into the first housing recess parts 11 of the main chassis 1, so that the traverse chassis 2 is supported by the main chassis 1.
