PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network jack structure not requiring production of a tenon and a mortise. SOLUTION: This network jack and the manufacturing method for it is provided with steps for: providing a jack main body 20 having an outer exposed face 21 to be used for inserting a network plug for connection and a jack hole 22 bored in a minimum allowable position MA of the outer exposed face 21; providing a vertical opening type dust cover 23 which is a single shutter 12 attached inside the jack hole 22 to be used for blocking dust; and providing an elastic device 24 attached onto the single shutter 23 to elastically press the single shutter 23 to a closing position.
