<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device having high quality, capable of preventing generation of thermal contraction in a heat flexible layer such as an optical compensation sheet by suppressing influence of heat generation by a backlight and ambient humidity change and free from frame-shaped light leakage caused by thermal contraction distortion of the heat flexible layer even when a display screen is large-sized. <P>SOLUTION: In the transmission type liquid crystal display device 10 using a liquid crystal panel 14 provided with heat flexible layers 22 facing to a liquid crystal cell 11, influence of heat and humidity on the heat flexible layers 22 is suppressed and thermal contraction generated in the heat flexible layers 22 is suppressed by forming the backlight 15 in a low heat generation type and housing the liquid crystal panel 14 in a closed case 16 intercepting humidity from an external part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
