<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device and a back light control method that can detect variation in spectral characteristic of a light emission body and improve chromaticity stability of a back light. <P>SOLUTION: The display device which has a white back light formed using a plurality of light sources emitting light beams of different light emission colors and measures light of the back light by a spectral sensor to correct chromaticity of the back light is equipped with a chromaticity deviation detecting unit which detects a chromaticity deviation of a prescribed light emission color on the basis of the output of the spectral sensor corresponding to a wavelength nearly equal to a center wavelength of the prescribed light emission color. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
