<p>To improve the accuracy of detection of the dehydration level, this invention provides an apparatus comprising: a positioning unit, configured to position the apparatus over the piece of skin; a laser sensor, configured to measure the distance between the laser sensor and the piece of skin by utilizing the self-mixing technology; wherein the positioning unit is further configured to generate a negative pressure on the piece of skin so as to raise the surface of the piece of skin, and position the laser sensor at a pre-determined location. By using the provided apparatus, the dehydration level can be measured accurately and earlier, which provides the opportunity for early medical treatment.</p> |
