PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weld device and a weld method capable of determining whether an object to which an electrode comes into contact is a weld object or not regardless of position of the electrode.SOLUTION: A movable electrode (first electrode) 220 and a fixed electrode (second electrode) 300 perform weld cooperatively. A power source 400 applies first voltage between the movable electrode (first electrode) 220 and the fixed electrode (second electrode) 300. A control device (control means) 5 controls whether weld is performed or not to an object A (first object) based on information which varies according to material of the object A (first object) detected in a state that the object A (first object) comes into contact to the movable electrode (first electrode) 220 and the fixed electrode (second electrode) 300. |
