PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress reduced compensation capability of a distortion dependent on polarization.SOLUTION: A signal processing system includes: a first filter unit for compensating a signal distortion independent of polarization including wavelength dispersion in a signal; a second filter unit for compensating the signal distortion dependent on the polarization on the output of the first filter unit, using an adaptive equalization filter; and a feedback unit for calculating a transfer function corresponding to the signal distortion independent of the polarization on the basis of a tap coefficient used in the adaptive equalization filter in the second filter unit, and based on the calculated transfer function, updating a tap coefficient in the first filter unit. |
