PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foamable food sustaining strong foaming feeling for a long time, having good texture and appearance, exhibiting excellent durability against high temperature, having reduced unfavorable taste felt because of strong foaming feeling, and also having persistent cool feeling as well as the long-lasting strong foaming feeling, and to provide a method for producing the food.SOLUTION: A foamable food includes a core material and a foamable coating layer formed on a surface of the core material, wherein the core material comprises hard candy having the menthol content of 0.01-5 wt.%, and the coating layer contains carbonate, acid and solid fat wherein the content of the solid fat is changed in the thickness direction of the coating layer. |
