PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus eliminating a cleaning trouble caused by a skin layer formed on the surface when extruded using the material containing a thermoplastic resin and capable of performing a stable cleaning over a long period using an intermediate transfer belt.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: at least, electrostatic latent image forming means; developing means for developing an electrostatic latent image by a toner; primary transfer means for transferring a toner image on an intermediate transfer belt; and cleaning means for cleaning the intermediate transfer belt. The intermediate transfer belt contains a thermoplastic resin and a conductive resin, and an oxygen atom concentration derived from the conductive resin at the time of measuring the surface by XPS is 1.0 to 3.0 at. %, and the cleaning means is a cleaning blade, and its Martens hardness is 0.8 to 10.0 N/m.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
