In a method for controlling light intensity of brake lights of a vehicle according to a position and/or a distance of at least one object detected behind the vehicle, the light control of the brake lights is optimised while taking into acccount driving safety. This is achieved in that different and/or a plurality of objects can be detected and the different and/or plurality of detectable objects are differentiated, wherein the light intensity is controlled according to the diifferentiation of the detected objects. |
