A manufacturing method for a plasma display panel and the plasma display panel fabricated thereby are provided to reduce the total fabrication time by decreasing the number of the fabrication process. A plasma display panel comprises a first panel and a second panel. The first panel includes a first substrate(201), first holding electrodes, a barrier unit, and a protective layer. The second panel includes a second substrate, an address electrode, a dielectric layer, a second barrier unit, a phosphor layer, and a second hold electrode. A first groove(201a) is formed in the first substrate. The first hold electrodes are formed by coating electrical material using a dispensing method in the first groove and by drying the electrical material and by baking the first substrate. The first barrier unit is arranged to cover the first hole electrode in the first substrate and is formed to segment discharge cells where gas discharge is generated. The second hole electrodes are formed by coating the electrical material in a second groove which is formed in the first barrier unit of the first substrate.
