CARCINOGENESIS INHIBITOR HAVING OOLONG TEA LEAF EXTRACT OTAC AS ACTIVE INGREDIENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel use for an OTAC (Oolong tea active compound) extracted from oolong tea leaves, more specifically to provide a carcinogenesis inhibitor having the OTAC as an active ingredient.

SOLUTION: With the OTAC extracted from oolong tea leaves, two types of animal carcinogenesis experimental systems were examined to evaluate the preventive effect of large bowel cancer. As a result, the carcinogenesis inhibiting effect of large bowel cancer by administering the OTAC in the both experimental systems is newly found. Accordingly, the OTAC extracted from oolong tea leaves is useful as a carcinogenesis inhibitor.
