The aeration device (1) for an aeration basin (3) of an aerobic biological treatment plant for treating sewage from paper production plant, comprises a straight tube (4) having an unprofiled inner wall (12), and an air supply line (7), which flows under the tube or in the tube adjacent to its lower end. The tube is arranged over holders with its lower end spaced apart to a basin bottom. The holder is formed as a base fastened at the tube, which is cylindrical in the cross section.
