A ticket vending system using a mobile communications terminal with an LAN(Local Area Network) module and a method thereof are provided for the mobile communications terminal to perform user authentication through a ticket vending relay. Accordingly, a terminal user can purchase a ticket easily without using an expensive wireless Internet service anywhere. A ticket vending system comprises a ticket vending relay(200), a ticket vending server(100), and DB(500). The ticket vending relay is installed at an advertising board(900). And the ticket vending relay relays data transmission and reception between a mobile communications terminal(300) and the ticket vending server and reception by using a short distance communications function. The ticket vending server receives an authentication code from the mobile communications terminal requesting the ticket purchase through the ticket vending relay. The received authentication code is transmitted from the ticket vending server to a network operation server(400). When the ticket vending server receives the approval of ticket payment from the network operation server with notice, the ticket vending server issues a ticket to the mobile communications terminal requesting the ticket purchase through the ticket vending relay. The DB is managed by the ticket vending server. And the DB stores performance information and the present condition of a ticket sale provided for the mobile communications terminal through the ticket vending relay. |
