A system and method for providing local store information are provided to easily search local stores through TV media and obtain the detailed information, thereby enabling cable broadcast subscribers to easily order and reserve goods and services handled in the local stores. A subscriber database is constructed by matching region cable broadcasting subscriber-related information and terminal identification information provided according to each region cable broadcasting subscriber. A local store advertisement database is constructed by matching each local store is classification item information according to one or more classification standard and local store identifying information with the local store related information including local store goods/service information. If multimedia contents are transmitted through a subscriber terminal from a local store, the multimedia contents are matched to the local store identifying information. The matched information is registered in a local store advertisement database.
