The number of dimensions of the frame structure may be adjusted to encompass the cargo. The cargo may be engaged with the engagement system.

An apparatus comprising: a frame structure configured to change in a number of dimensions to encompass cargo, the frame structure including a first set of segments and members, at least one member disposed in a portion of at least one segment in the first set of segments and members, aligned on a first axis and the at least one segment configured to slide with respect to the at least one member along the first axis, and a second set of segments and members, at least one member disposed in a portion of at least one segment in the second set of segments and members, aligned on a second axis, and the at least one segment configured to slide with respect to the at least one member along the second axis; an engagement system configured to engage the cargo; a sensor system configured to detect a position of the cargo and the frame structure relative to each other; and a thruster system associated with the frame structure, wherein the thruster system is configured to generate thrust to move the frame structure linearly along the first axis and the second axis, wherein the first axis and the second axis are substantially at right angles to each other.
