<p>The method involves receiving data concerning a travel obstruction affecting a region (10) ahead of a vehicle by a navigation system. A destination (14) to be reached via the region is automatically determined. Additional regions (16, 18, 20) via which the determined destination to be reached are automatically determined. An evaluation factor for each determined additional region is calculated based on one of time saving, energy saving and an ecological balance. A bypass route (22) for bypassing the region affected by the obstruction is automatically determined based on the evaluation factor. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program having instructions for performing a method for automatically determining a bypass route (2) a computer program product having instructions for performing a method for automatically determining a bypass route (3) a device for automatically determining a bypass route.</p> |
