Permanent magnet synchronous machine

The synchronous machine has a soft magnetic stator (1) including winding arrangements (3), and a rotor (2) comprising buried permanent magnets (5), where round movable magnets (6) are arranged in an area of the permanent magnets. The movable magnets comprise a hard magnetic material, and are movable around an axis perpendicular to its magnetization direction. The movable magnets are rotatable by an actuator. The permanent magnets are combined into groups, and are arranged in different radial planes of the rotor.
