Disclosed is an external sunshield for vehicles that comprises: a structure (2) formed by flexible or rigid rods to which structure is coupled a screen (3) having a skirt (6), the screen and skirt being made from an opaque material that shields against the sun's rays; and magnetic securing means (4) in the form of poles that allow the structure (2) to be secured to the vehicle (5), such that the structure is not in direct contact with the roof of the vehicle, thereby forming an intermediate air circulation zone. The aforementioned securing means (4) comprise a series of magnet-equipped parts (40) connected to each other by means of cords (41), some of the parts (40), those located in the intermediate sections of the cords (41), being larger in size and having a groove (42) into which the rods (21) are press-fitted, while the magnet-equipped parts (40) at the ends of the cord (41) are smaller, allowing the sides of the structure (2) to be tautened. The securing means (4) are fitted to the wheels of the vehicle (5). The poles consist of a vertical section (43) of extendable tubes with an upper fastening (44) for securing to the rod (21) and with a lower crosspiece (45), also extendable, comprising clamps (46) for securing to the tyre. |
